Body as Teacher

Rachel grew up as a classically trained ballerina and modern dancer. During high school and college, she continued formal training while also shifting into other forms of movement: intuitive dance, improvisation, belly dance, yoga, and hoop dance. Movement has always been sacred to Rachel and she trusts that the wisdom of the body can facilitate deep healing and inner knowing. Becoming connected to our own bodies, moving with others, and co-regulating with other bodies can have profound effects. Rachel may incorporate body-oriented modalities and somatic awareness into sessions in order to deepen the ability to listen to and understand the body’s messages.
